Color Throwdown 96 meets JUGS36

swatch 96

Ay caramba, this color combo from Tammy really stretched me!  I love the colors, I was just stumped as to how to combine them!  I wanted to do the JUGS36 sketch:

but no ideas were flowing for the images!  I just opened my notebook and started perusing my stamps!  With the (ahem) thousands of stamps I have, you’d think choosing something would not be that difficult!  Finally settled on a “bee” theme:

There is just a plethora of different images, papers and buttons going on here!  I added some black as an accent color, and stamped a verse on the inside:

There’s also bling,  stitching, distressed edges, and the “ribbon” is some seam binding I found in my sewing supplies which I rubbed on my So Saffron ink pad!!  All the buttons are from my mom’s button tin---anyone have one of them?  I think it was probably HER mom’s, truthfully!  Some of the buttons were so old, they crumbled in my fingers!  Anyway, I hope you can find some time to challenge yourself with these lovely colors.  Check out the CTD blog to find out all the deets, and come play with us!  You can see what the others have done while you’re at it, or just click on their links here:
